We are just weeks away from the release of Ron Howard’s new production of Dan Brown’s novel Angels and Demons, Robert Langdon actual first adventure. Those of us who have read Mr. Brown’s novels and thoroughly enjoyed them cannot wait to go to the theatres for Robert Langdon’s latest action packed movie.
I for one am looking forward to visiting The Eternal City of Rome through this film and I wonder if it was really ALL filmed in Rome, considering The Vatican was not very happy about Rome being the site of this novel’s location
The involvement of CERN in the novel’s content was brilliant, I love how science and religion melt together. You cannot have one without the other. Evolution or not, there is a divine force behind the genius, creativity, inspiration given the human mind.
UPDATE: 05/10/09 As seen on last week’s Entertainment Tonight’s interview with Ron Howard and Tom Hanks, the Vatican City we see in the movie is a set made of styrofoam, built in the US. The exact location escapes me as I missed that part of the interview. No problem, it looks realistic enough it will not make a difference in the story line. History Channel is showing “Angels and Demons” Decoded tonight so, I am watching it . It is quite interesting the way these novels turned movies attract such attention from the media to the point of sensationalizing and elevataing them to a mystical level. Mr. Brown’s pocket book must be growing like a just fed anaconda., ha ha ha. No one I know would mind having that “fattening” problem, nor would I.
